Jordan Harnum is a Newfoundland musician born and raised in New Harbour, where he was immersed in the storytelling and musical traditions of his home province. His passion for performance has taken him from local stages to international recognition, with collaborations with Adventure Canada, performances at festivals like Trails, Tales and Tunes and Roots, Rants and Roars, and acting roles in Frontier and Hudson & Rex.
Jordan’s debut album, The Boys Around The Bay, produced and co-written by Glenn Simmons (The Fables, Wonderful Grand Band), earned a MusicNL nomination for Celtic Artist of the Year in 2018. The album has surpassed 300,000 streams across platforms, with standout tracks “The Boys Around The Bay” and “Fella From Fortune” both exceeding 50,000 streams, solidifying their place as modern Newfoundland classics.
In 2021, Jordan became the resident entertainer at The Captain's Pub in Twillingate, performing over 100 shows in 2022. This residency led to new music, including collaborations with Quote the Raven, Ronnie Power, Jeff Pittman, and Geoff Panting, resulting in singles like "Honey Moon" and "West Moon," recorded with producer Robert Kelly.
Jordan’s latest release, Red Sky, created with his duo Ever Sweet and produced by Phil Churchill (The Once), features some of Newfoundland’s finest musicians. With national airplay and critical acclaim, it cements Jordan as a vital voice in Newfoundland’s music scene.
