Jordan Peters is a New York based guitarist and producer whose influences range from jazz, hip-hop, blues, folk, rock, funk, soul and electronic music. Originally from Lachute Québec, he has worked, toured, performed and recorded with numerous artists such as Lauryn Hill, Renée Elise Goldsberry, Jon Batiste, The Weeknd, NAS, Billy Porter, Quiñ, The Roots, Andra Day, Antonio Sanchez, Tony Allen, Femi Kuti, Darlene Love, Bokanté, Alex Clare and Renee Neufville. He has appeared on the Tonight Show, NPR Tiny Desks, Austin City Limits, The View, CBS This Morning, NBC’s Annual Christmas Tree Lighting, and BET Black Girls Rock.
He has several producer credits under his belt, notably his 2015 collaboration with Brooklyn native Melanie Charles on a project called Rat Habitat. He also works as a Producer and Content Creator for Output, a renown music software company based out of Los Angeles California, producing content for their sample library Arcade, specifically their successful TAPED line, which focuses on Dowtempo/Vaporwave sounds and rhythms.
His debut album as a leader, entitled “Dreams”, is a tapestry of colors and moods; a blend of electronic/indie/beat/jazz influences. The album features several New York City musicians, including veteran drummer Obed Calvaire (SF Jazz Collective) and David Frazier (SZA), Mike “Maz” Maher” (Snarky Puppy), Sly5thAve (Ghostnote), violinist Lisanne Tremblay, and Producer/Keyboardist/ Engineer Jesse Fischer.
