Born and raised in Philadelphia, Jordan Williams began formal studies in both jazz and classical piano by age seven, performing publicly at eleven with his first ensemble, The Young Lions Jazz Trio. He is a Presidential Scholar for the Arts, Betty Carter Jazz Ahead alumnus, and protégé of Cyrus Chestnut, Jason Moran, and Orrin Evans. Since relocating to New York City, Williams has become an in-demand pianist known for his intuitive touch, compositional depth, and grounded approach to tradition.
