Born in Barranquilla, Colombia, Jorge Duarte (Jörgen) was raised around rhythm & dance. As a child, his family filled the house with genres like salsa, cumbia, and vallenato, all becoming foundational influences in his songwriting. Music was already a major part of his life as a young instrumentalist, but in his adolescent years, he discovered house music and fell in love. Through the years, his passion for the genre bled into everything: making mixes for his friends in middle school, playing local festivals in high school, becoming the resident club DJ in his 20s, and most importantly, crafting his Colombian-inspired house music. Now, Jörgen is focused on one thing: sharing and playing his homegrown style of house music to the world.
