José Torres Vicente is a guitarist, composer and producer with a multidisciplinary profile, working at the intersection of flamenco, contemporary music and audiovisual creation. His work spans music for dance, exhibitions, performances, and soundtracks for video art, advertising, fiction and documentary films.
He has released two albums of original music with his band José Torres Trío (José Torres Trío, Youkali Music, 2013 and (UN)STILL LIFE, Youkali Music, 2020), as well as La virtud en el aire (2018), an EP of free reinterpretations of classical repertoire created together with singer <a href="spotify:artist:7kSxlNhBhkSLjIbFA3g3yf" data-name="Rocío Guzmán">Rocío Guzmán</a> .
As a recording artist and collaborator, José has worked on projects alongside artists such as <a href="spotify:artist:5TDssiSO1YPd3BINGZx3XP" data-name="Kiko Veneno">Kiko Veneno</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:5nJo9d4dYPQ9MiimCUdOhI" data-name="Carmen Linares">Carmen Linares</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:6UWqJYYQ6zTu0oh444j4R1" data-name="Martín Benavides">Martín Benavides</a> and <a href="spotify:artist:0Lf8YxCqt0flPbiPlBDSPQ" data-name="Cristian de Moret">Cristian de Moret</a>. His current project, Flamenco de Cuartito, explores new forms of flamenco through intimate formats, production-driven approaches and cross-genre collaborations.
