Catalan countertenor Josep Benet is a specialist in music from the Middle Ages to the early Baroque period. He has performed with the Ensemble Organum Sequentia, <a href="spotify:artist:5Stbz9eJXqdBNtwDMFFLHY">Hesperion XX</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:652tly1eoAkKzhJ5z4LsEx">Les Arts Florissants</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:1C3XEupIPUifPP8v7Y0UPQ">La Chapelle Royale</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:7IU1mejEjVK8cebFCnGmlX">Clemencic Consort</a>, Ensemble Daedalus, and the Orquesta Ciudad de Barcelona. He is a founding member of the vocal quartet La Colombina, an ensemble that specializes in a cappella music from the Renaissance and early Baroque, very often highlighting previously neglected Spanish music in their programs. With La Colombina, Benet has given concerts throughout Europe and in Israel.
