Bradshaw’s most recent album, Trouble Is (2022), is the artist’s most mature work to date. Built on a foundation of steady rhythms and gospel keys, each of the eleven songs on Trouble Is explore themes of morality and mortality. ‘These songs,’ says Bradshaw, ‘are about living and dying and the colorful ways that we search for salvation. In the end, I guess it’s like this: life is filled with heartbreak and nothing lasts forever. And somehow that’s hopeful even when it’s sad.’
The album was mixed, produced, and recorded by TJ Elias (<a href="spotify:artist:4w1ZBtHF0HxrGqQdB7i1it" data-name="Jamestown Revival">Jamestown Revival</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:5wFXmYsg3KFJ8BDsQudJ4f" data-name="Manchester Orchestra">Manchester Orchestra</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:3kVUvbeRdcrqQ3oHk5hPdx" data-name="GROUPLOVE">GROUPLOVE</a>) at Big Trouble Studio in Little Five Points (Atlanta) with ‘The Florida Four,’ a band made up of longtime Bradshaw collaborators Abe Couch, Greg Perkins, Andy Simonds, and Dylon York.
