Joseph Cesar

Joseph Cesar is a portuguese-born singer-songwriter living in Paris. He is also a teacher. He was born in Portugal but his life has been shared between Portugal and France since the age of 14.
He has been interested in music since his childhood.
In 2006 he began to create the first texts and the first melodies in english.
He released his first self-produced acoustic EP in 2013 entitled "Break Up The Walls". A year later, in 2014 he met his producer Lionel Renault with whom he will record his first album "The Other Side", officially released in October 2016 . In 2019 he released the single "Wasted Dreams" from his first album.
In January of 2021, after a long difficult period he returned to the studio to record his second EP much more eclectic with pop and electro sounds. Two singles have been released since then : « The Pain of Love » a melodic an melancholy pop ballad and « Inside of You » an electro pop rock song with a latin touch sung in english and spanish. In November 2024, his new song will be released in his native language, that is, in Portuguese. It’s called “Até o Fim”, a pop rock song that describes his relationship and his most intimate feelings.
Joseph Cesar's songs express a mixture and contrast of feelings about the world around us. This contrast is the reflection of his music. There is love, sadness, hope, anguish, fear, desire, revolt, indignation, freedom, lack and emptiness. He is always on the lookout for something new and different.
