Joseph Krause was born in 1990 near the scenic city of Como, Italy, where his journey into music began. His passion ignited in 2006 when he first experimented with a basic CDJ at a friend’s party, sparking a lifelong dedication to the art of sound.
After a brief hiatus from the music scene, Joseph returned with renewed determination, sharing his knowledge by mentoring his best friend Mike in the fundamentals of mixing. This collaboration gave birth to the dynamic duo Beat Cool Brothers (BCB) in 2011. The pair quickly gained recognition for their electrifying performances, becoming local favorites at events across Milan and beyond.
Their growing reputation led to numerous productions across various labels, culminating in 2013 when BCB founded the indie label Atum Record—a milestone that solidified their influence in the underground music scene.
In 2014, after three years of success with Beat Cool Brothers, Joseph expanded his creative horizons, launching his solo project under the name Krause. That same year, alongside his close friend and collaborator Rawness, he co-founded the innovative label DubGestion, a concept-driven platform dedicated to the deeper, underground sounds of electronic music.
Today, Joseph Krause continues to shape the minimal and atmospheric music landscape, leaving an indelible mark on the scene through his artistry and relentless pursuit of creative expression.
