Joseph Stephen is a singer-songwriter from the heartlands of Singapore. Rooted in the influence of <a href="spotify:artist:4iHNK0tOyZPYnBU7nGAgpQ" data-name="Mariah Carey">Mariah Carey</a>, he grew up absorbing the whistle register, agile runs, and melodic nuance that continue to shape his phrasing and arrangements. Choir training honed his discipline and ear for blend. With a five-octave range, he delivers a melismatic, 90s-tinged vocal style that blends pop, R&B, and adult contemporary.

He began with covers on his YouTube channel (@wherewasjoseph) before moving into original work. In October 2025, Joseph released his debut single, “Rescue Me”, a 90s pop/R&B cut with smooth chords and a chorus that blooms into full vocal stacks.
