Maggie Maki's self-produced project of the 90s. She wrote these songs, then through friend Steve McCarthy (who did the engineering at his home studio), she hooked up with Lyn Bertles (strings), Bob Mair (bass), Nick Vincent (drums), and longtime friend, artist Dion Macellari (guitar). The project was realized. The name Josephine the Singer was inspired years earlier when she read the Kafka story of the same name 'Josephine the Singer, or the Mouse Folk'. A touch of mastering from Brian 'Big Bass' Gardner at Bernie Grundman and a gem was born. If you were listening to college radio in the mid to late 90s, you might have heard it.
