i grew up a fangirl. dancing in my room to taylor swift, knowing every word to all of her music, and at the age of 7 i began writing my own. storytelling and songwriting is the way in which my brain works, and music is the counterpart which i cannot seem to live without.
on October 18th, i released my first single, “compensate.” the love i received was astounding and surpassed any and every expectation i had. it was better than every birthday and Christmas combined. this song is a collection of the things i was too afraid to admit. the words i couldn’t let slip out of my lips, because they were just too heavy. i give them to you now—hoping someone out there can relate. you are not now, and not ever alone.
