I grew up a pastor’s kid in small-town Wisconsin. In 2004, my brother and I started the band <a href="spotify:artist:7o9BrJpGzDJxWSGpAViJu4" data-name="Citizen Way">Citizen Way</a>, mostly performing for free food... but God had other (and better) plans. We had two number one songs with <a href="spotify:track:1m4IGb9cH8cHyQSmNwbXTo" data-name="How Sweet the Sound">How Sweet the Sound</a> and <a href="spotify:track:6fi4EXq3CANPvDXhAggmGn" data-name="Bulletproof">Bulletproof</a>, and several top tens (<a href="spotify:track:6z5AXCQoORypVrhV51zZgi" data-name="When I&#39;m with You">When I&#39;m with You</a>, <a href="spotify:track:37Woye6NkUObRujAGVFtbn" data-name="Nothing Ever (Could Separate Us)">Nothing Ever (Could Separate Us)</a> and <a href="spotify:track:6oIF0iY8ak52GCy8SsSCZW" data-name="Should&#39;ve Been Me">Should&#39;ve Been Me</a>. After that long and winding journey, I stepped off the road in 2016.

These days, my wife and I are raising our six amazing, loud, Lego-loving kids in sunny southern Wisconsin. I lead worship, write songs, and do my best to follow Jesus — usually with coffee in hand and someone yelling “Dad!” in the background.
