Josh Cotts started writing music and leading worship in the year 2000 at the age of 12. He began by leading worship for his youth group at Fresh Bread Fellowship, a house church in Seminole, OK. After leaving Fresh Bread in 2004, he joined Grace Community Church in Konawa, OK and began leading worship for his youth group there shortly after joining. He continued to write music and use it to lead his peers into worship. There, under the direction and guidance of whom he considered his mentor, his youth pastor, and ultimately his inspiration, Nathan Isaacs, Josh found his songwriting begin to mature as well as his ability to lead worship. After leaving Grace Community Church in 2008, he returned to The Bridge Seminole (formerly Fresh Bread Fellowship) and led worship alongside his good friend, Ryan VanMeter. Josh and Ryan led together for several years in more than one place. During this time, the worship organization Burn 24-7 was formed and Josh became actively involved in it in Shawnee, OK, leading 2-hour slots during monthly 24-hour periods of non-stop worship. He says to this day that he ultimately owes his ability to lead worship to the time he dedicated to Burn 24-7 Shawnee. Shortly after Burn 24-7 Shawnee dissolved in 2012, Josh met his wife, Bailey Cotts, joined Living Word Church in Shawnee, OK and quickly became the Worship Pastor. In January of 2020, he and his wife took the position of Senior Pastors over Living Word Shawnee.
