Josh Dahlberg

Detroit educated Josh Dahlberg has been producing music and DJing for over twenty years. His analog-centered approach blends house, techno, electro, and experimental; most notably as <a href="spotify:artist:6hdr89jgdFbQiISR4k3StB" data-name="The Valley and The Mountain">The Valley and The Mountain</a> (abbr. TVTM). Largely his pre-TVTM work was released on his former label, Blank Artists, and the <a href="spotify:artist:3AhwIUus3pIaA3CvYBEtpy" data-name="Richie Hawtin">Richie Hawtin</a> founded D-Records.

While in Detroit, Josh had the privilege to work for the legendary <a href="spotify:artist:0tbuVFxbrGx2oiNbpetUGc" data-name="Underground Resistance">Underground Resistance</a>; a transformative experience that fundamentally influences his world view broadly, and approach to creating music specifically. His former label, Blank Artists, released 25&#43; albums and EPs that included artists such as <a href="spotify:artist:6bCOECt5SP2HNtkj6KZQqC" data-name="Jared Wilson">Jared Wilson</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:0y3YJU1gNAM2vukLw1ifO4" data-name="Osborne">Osborne</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:6OTl4OdD4K4Lc13b7vR3mT" data-name="Monty Luke">Monty Luke</a>, and <a href="spotify:artist:09w7CzS8u20G6JcnGWQ2GY" data-name="Derek Plaslaiko">Derek Plaslaiko</a>.

After quietly shuttering Blank Artists in 2012, he unceremoniously deleted all his social media and continued to write music secretly as TVTM. He’s since released a series of records Belgium’s WéMè Records and Dutch label Shipwrec alongside artists like <a href="spotify:artist:3KcV1kKG7Y0Gq7xPAGVjkZ" data-name="Drexciya">Drexciya</a>‘s Gerald Donald, <a href="spotify:artist:7vZgYqMEApgWpMpXMSJj1o" data-name="DJ Stingray 313">DJ Stingray 313</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:4W1v5X4x0ObMOJVJreZX3k" data-name="DMX Krew">DMX Krew</a>, and <a href="spotify:artist:1c733CliZ5lPyy4Il3s21t" data-name="Conforce">Conforce</a>.

Recently he relocated to the Pacific Northwest and channels the natural landscape into his productions. Having a reputation as a versatile albeit reclusive artist, Dahlberg continues to explore the vastness of electronically made music while honoring his house and techno roots.
