Blending infectious melodies with introspective yet uplifting storytelling, Josh Island has been steadily growing a loyal community of fans since starting out in the Luxembourg bar scene aged 15. His love for guitar-driven folk-pop songs, inspired by the likes of Ben Howard, Fink or Sting, was first displayed on his 2021 EP, Love Don't Come Easy, which quickly led him to open for acts like James Morrison and Passenger. He embarked on a European tour on the back of his 2023 debut album In My Head, taking him to Fengaros Festival in Cyprus, supporting Clueso, and showcasing at Reeperbahn in Hamburg. Quoted as 'the voice of Europe' with his ability to bring people together through music, Josh island challenges the walls we build—both physical and emotional—urging listeners to look inward and embrace a world with more empathy and understanding.

On Courage , the first single off his upcoming album, Josh explores the inner struggles we often hide. But rather dwell in the shadows, the song lifts its gaze towards hope, pairing emotional depth with soaring choruses that are equal parts vulnerable and uplifting. The second single Artemis is full of drama and poetry, inspired by the myths of the Greek goddess of the hunt: A hunter secretly admires her from afar as she bathes in the lake, only to be caught under her spell and transformed into a stag. A little tragic for sure – and perfect for a song.
