Josh Speers was born into a family of English teachers. He toured heavily up and down the East coast in bar bands and settled in western Massachusetts for a time while working as a studio potter. Heavily influenced by Paul Westerberg and Tom Petty as well as writers Thomas McGuane and Jim Harrison, his songs explore the big and small corners of American life.
