Josiah Bell is a sought-after singer/songwriter/producer whose impact has reached across numerous genres, working with both established and up-and-coming artists, contributing to film and television scores and soundtracks, and making a name for himself as a performer. Most recently, he co-wrote and produced the single “Summertime in Paris” on Jaden Smith’s 2019 album ERYS, marking his fourth collaboration with the young hip hop star. Josiah has contributed his production skills and/or original music for numerous TV and Film projects, such as the upcoming HBO series “Lovecraft County,” Marvel’s “Cloak & Dagger”, OWN’s “Greenleaf”, Sony TV’s “Underground” and many more, as well as serving as a vocal producer in the upcoming DC Comics “Birds of Prey” feature film.
Canadian-born Bell began his career at the age of 15, working with gospel legend Vickie Winans. He went on to work with Smokie Norful, producing and co-writing his gold-certified, Grammy-winning Gospel Album of the Year Nothing Without You and hit single “Can't Nobody,” and later wrote for, produced and/or performed with such acts as CeCe Winans, Michelle Williams, Johnnyswim, David Ryan Harris, Michael Bolton, Estelle, Nick Cannon, Melissa Polinar, Toby Mac, Krystal Meyers, Mat Kearney, and Matt Redman.
