Josie Gillen is a folk artist from Vermont, currently based in Brooklyn, New York.
She grew up singing to herself and the birds in an off-grid little house deep in the woods. Singing songs turned into writing them somewhere down the line.
Her influences have evolved to include great songwriters and storytellers Bob Dylan, John Prine, Adrianne Lenker, Haley Heynderickx, and a few more.
Her debut release, for a dollar, was written with Max Berman under the stars on the roof of a little house, this time in the Caribbean, after a year-long struggle with health, growing up, and some other things.
More to come.
