Through her evocative songwriting, satin-smooth delivery, and rhythm-rich production, Journee channels the spirit of classic R&B while bringing a fresh, modern edge. A Bay Area native, Journee began writing and recording at just 11 years old. Drawing inspiration from icons such as Destiny’s Child, Aaliyah, Mary J. Blige, Janet Jackson, and Faith Evans, she has cultivated a signature sound she calls “New Age, Nostalgic R&B”—a blend of timeless warmth and contemporary flair.

She introduced that sound on her debut EP It’s Not You, It’s Me in 2020, featuring her breakout record “This and That.” Since then, Journee has continued refining her lane with emotionally charged storytelling, layered harmonies, and polished, retro-infused arrangements. Her recent releases, “Beg For It” and “Only One,” showcase her evolution—merging classic R&B sensibilities with sharp lyricism and a modern, radio-ready finish.
