Thuso D. Mogotsi, professionally known as Jovislash is an intensively driven Musician, Comedian, Radio Host & a Filmmaker based in Alexandra Township, ZA. He has by far worked with a vast number of emerging and prominent artists in the music industry, including the likes of the late hip hop veterans HHP, Pro Kid and Flabba.
The award winning rapper has released multiple mixtapes and chart topping singles such as Mamcane and Aya Kwini. In 2018 his verse taken from the single, Dagga Song was chosen as one of the top 10 Verses Of The Year according to Slikour On Life. In filmmaking, the Alexandra based producer has released numerous documentaries that includes Pro Boots, a story about the South African hip hop maestro, the late Linda Pro Kid Mkhize. In 2018 Jovislash was recognized by the Billboard for remixing Childish Gambino's hit single, This Is America by making his version This is South Africa that has reached almost half a million views on Youtube. Jovislash is currently hosting The Mixtape hip hop show on Alex FM on Fridays 7 to 9pm, and has since been nominated for the Best Radio at the 2020 South African Hip Hop Awards. Jovislash released his debut album Declared & Decreed in the year 2020 that has received positive reviews in the music industry. In early 2022 Jovislash has hinted a possible release of his sophomore independent album, Declared & Decreed 2.
