Unsatisfied with the life she had built in her late 20s, Juana Everett left her job and her apartment in Madrid, and crossed the ocean on hardcore Sagittarius mode to produce her first solo album in LA.

Rough years were ahead. Sometimes distance only accentuates the pain and trauma you leave back, and Everett’s album took a few years to make. She put herself through school, worked as a studio assistant and honed her songwriting and producing skills in the jungle that is the city of Angels.

She released her first full-length album in 2021, proving her honesty and grit as a singer-songwriter. A collection of songs that played on NPR and Spanish National Radio. But so much has happened since then. So many road trips, roaming on the PCH, facing wind in the desert, talking to strangers, diving into the poetry of their lives, and their darkness. Travels and encounters that got Everett through her own pain.

In January of 2024 she embarked on a cross country journey to Nashville, TN. A new adventure began. The stars aligned in Music City and within 4 months Juana got in the studio to record the songs that she'd been crafting over the last few years.

“Past Lives in California” is the title of her new album, coming in early 2026: An ode to the Golden State, a journey through the lives she got to live there, the lives she dreamed about, the myths that crumbled into pieces, and the people that changed her forever.
