Utrecht-based singer-songwriter and guitarist Judith Jiskoot Jenner offers a tempting potion of indie pop, children’s songs and a touch of magic realism. Determined that magic cannot go unnoticed and reality cannot be disregarded, she has crafted a lyrical universe in which irony and humor prevail.
Growing up as an introverted and dreamy person, keeping up with the fast pace of the world was quite infeasible. This inability has lured her into a far more hospitable and friendly place: the safe environment of creating.
Judith spent much of high school writing songs on guitar, which came to see the light of day years later with the release of her debut EP ‘’Out of My Tree’’ in November 2022. Out of My Tree embodies a solitary character and communicates the uncertainty of adolescence.
As soon as next September new music will be released. The songs are written over the past two years and they will explore topics such as mental health, feminism and restorative nostalgia.
