Rising star Júlia Machado is a remarkable and undeniable talent. The luso descendent born in New Jersey, USA, where she still resides, has always kept Portugal close to her heart, and her musical journey reflects this strong connection with the country.
At the age of 12, Júlia won The Voice Kids Portugal, one of the most prestigious competitions for young singers in Portugal. There, she had the honor of being mentored by Fernando Daniel, who also co-wrote her debut song "Where I Belong" alongside João Direitinho and Aurora Pinto. Júlia performed this song at Junior Eurovision 2023, representing Portugal.
Besides participating in renowned musicals in the US, including “The Little Mermaid”, “Matilda”, and “The Lion King”, Júlia has also been actively performing. One of her most notable performances took place at the United Nations headquarters in NY.
Her second single, "Rollercoaster", is now followed by the new song "Girl Next Door/Cosas Del Amor" with Sandra Valero, the runner-up of Junior Eurovision 2023, representing Spain. Both artists will reunite at Junior Eurovision 2024 in Madrid where this song will be highlighted.
