Julia Shuren

Songwriting Hall of Famer, Julia Shuren is breaking musical boundaries with her unique blend of R&B/Soul, Dance and Pop. Unbound by genre, her soulful vocal arrangements and soaring melodies first caught the attention of legendary Motown songwriter Paul Riser (Stevie Wonder, Mary J Blige), and shortly after she was featured on PBS “Detroit Performs” for her songwriting abilities.

After recently graduating with her Masters in Music Composition at NYU, Julia has been making her mark as an emerging artist in New York City. After Kygo reposted her cover of “Like It Is”, she gained some attention and began collaborating with other artists and producers around the world. Julia has had her music featured on Spotify’s top playlists, elite dance studios, and in film. She has performed in major cities such as London, New York, Detroit, and Toronto.

Hey ya’ll thanks for making it to this page. Looking past the resume, I aspire to be an artist that stands for authenticity and goodness. Being heavily inspired by old music, I think our modern world could use a little more genuineness and rawness. And that’s what I’ll be doing.
