A return to the heavier side of Juno Award-winning singer/songwriter Julie Doiron's music, Julie & the Wrong Guys delivers some of her heaviest sounds since her Eric's Trip days. Doiron originally enlisted the Wrong Guys -- folk-punk troubadour and guitarist Eamon McGrath and Cancer Bats drummer Mike Peters and bassist Jaye Schwarzer -- to be her backing band in 2011 for a string of shows while she was living in Toronto. The mix of Doiron's clarion vocals and the band's hardcore roots proved potent, and they released their debut single, "Homeless/Farther from You, in late 2016. The following year, their self-titled album arrived on Dine Alone Records. ~ Heather Phares, Rovi
