Jumping Through Fiery Hoops is the homespun music outlet of songwriter Jeff Fox, of no particular name droppable background. His (my) work envelopes elements of shoegazer, psyche pop, and indie rock lovingly crafted using only the finest of second hand, borrowed, and scavenged gear. Born and raised in a deeply rural setting, Fox’s roots in classic country and various metal from the 80’s often haunt the Jumping Through Fiery Hoops bucket of hymns as well. His arrangements are sometimes augmented and orchestrated by synth and whatever’s available melody and rhythm makers, acoustic/electric instruments, and filtered through a love of experimenting with sound and wordplay. A new album, “Howling At The Wrong Moon” is in the final mixing stage and and will be available in the autumn of 2024 on Arfus Records.
