GOLD & BLUE, ALBUM OUT AUGUST 30TH
Grounded in their signature alternative and dreamy pop sound, June Vide continues to captivate listeners. On August 30th, the Stockholm-based dream-pop duo released their second full-length album, Gold & Blue. The album, consisting of ten tracks of atmospheric and ethereal indie pop, weaves a unique story with each song.
June Vide, composed of Agnes Båth and Klara Malmer, made their debut in 2019 and quickly captured attention. Their debut album, A Sea Is A Place Within, (I Lose My Mind All The Time), was released the following year, followed by several singles and the Ride EP in the spring of 2023. The new album Gold & Blue picks up where Ride left off, featuring shimmering guitars, cinematic synths, and melancholic harmonies. It’s the contrast and harmony between Agnes and Klara’s voices that make the duo’s dreamy pop both unique and compelling. Their work has consistently been praised by media outlets like GAFFA, Hymn, and Nbhap (Berlin), drawing comparisons to artists such as Bon Iver, Beach House, and First Aid Kit.
In recent years, June Vide has performed on most of Stockholm’s smaller stages (Debaser Pontonen, Nomad, Snotty Seaside, Landet, etc.), opening for artists like Alice Boman and Vasas Flora och Fauna, and playing at festivals such as PLX Tjärö and Vinterviken Sunset Sessions.
