Junípero

Junípero is a project that arose from the need to musicalize experiences and connect with our deepest desires. It is the meeting of two musical souls with roots in different generations; influenced by country and resonant sound to forge a new musical landscape in the form of DreamPop.

Joán and Janelle experiment with thunderous and melodic sounds that are tactile. Their music is almost visual, transcending the auditory realm to paint pictures with and recall memories from their audiences’ imaginations. Janelle is a visionary collector of ideas and sounds, with the distinct ability to capture feelings that give Junípero’s melodies heart and soul. She creates uniquely nuanced music with passages and gateways that give each song a life of its own. Joán has shared stages globally with world-class artists. He is able to take Junípero’s music to the highest caliber through experimentation and musical innovation, mixing dream-like melodies in a way that play with every sense. The balance struck between these two minds creates multi-dimensional music with texture and atmospheric beauty.
