Junodori

Junodori is a Cologne based artist. As a studied pianist and sound engineer, she writes her songs herself and arranges, performs and sings them in different lineups. Her songs, born from a singer-songwriter tradition combine pop with jazz, funk and soul in a natural way. They span the gamut from atmospheric ballads and humorous chansons to funk groove pieces. Each song has its own style and story and reflects the various facets of the musician. A returning subject of the songs seems to be communication between people. Junodori reaches people without pigeonholding anybody. Her songs tell not only stories but they include messages that come along unpretentiously. There is a clear attitude behind Junodori’s „Up to You“: It’s up to you what you make out of things. Don’t get mislead, follow your way, be yourself, different but authentic.
Junodori is connected with musicians from different countries and German cities and performs her songs together with them all over Germany and neighbour countries. She plays solo up to combo with four horns. A very popular and common lineup is the duo with her saxophonist Sergii Chernenko. She is in preparation to produce an duo- album following her actual EP.
