JUNTTU is a Finnish born singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist. His debut album, Simple Songs to Give Away Vol. 1, will introduce breathy vocals, strong melodies and acoustic-based arrangements. The songs form an honest, touching and personal whole, which invites the listener to be a part of a very cinematic and visual, multidimensional experience. His bare, even pithy, lyrics hint at melancholy, yet any thoughts of despair are alleviated by the gorgeous, uplifting melodies and JUNTTU’s calm, delicate vocals. An exceptionally naked, but hopeful full-length work is set to be released in the near future.
The music is based on the storyteller's life and bows in style to legends such as Chris Whitley, Joni Mitchell and Neil Young. After several years, JUNTTU has finally found his own way to make his own kind of music – and it feels like coming home.
