Hailing from Cincinnati, Ohio USA, reggae artist Junya Be puts his own spin on the beloved Jamaican music. He has developed his own signature style that separates him from other artists; a style and sound that makes Junya Be a top American reggae artist and a force to be reckoned with worldwide. Part of the Junya Be style is simply that he has so many styles. Mix all parts reggae (roots, culture, dancehall, lover’s rock), with a twist of hip hop and R&B, and maybe just a dash of rock n’ roll… voila: Junya Be! A prolific songwriter, he interprets his compositions through singing, chanting and rapping. Most of his tunes actually morph this singing, chanting, and rapping simultaneously into the very style that makes Junya Be such a unique artist; a style truly all of his own.


Recent years have found Junya connecting with some big-time players within the reggae music industry, which has already culminated in the release of some hot new music as well as soon-to-be-released collaborations with multiple bonafide reggae powerhouses. He has aligned himself with Gary “Shanguly” Samuels, the prestigious and decorated producer/engineer who contributed to the Grammy award winning projects of both Sean Paul and Beenie Man, and who has produced hits for the likes of Capleton, Sizzla and Chronixx. Currently working so closely with Shanguly can only mean big tings a gwaan for Junya Be in 2020 and beyond!
