Growing up in Chicago Johnny initially pursued a basketball career before music became his primary focus. He spent several years cutting his teeth playing acoustic guitar while producing lofi and electronic music in his bedroom. The classic and straight-ahead jazz tradition of the city meets a new indie lo-fi style, while the creation of each beat comes from a huge number of different influences.
