Just Shad is a singer-songwriter and producer based in Philadelphia. He first discovered his love for music while growing up in the Haitian church. His musical inspirations include Timbaland, The Neptunes, BB King, Jimi Hendrix, and many more.
At a young age, Shad lost his father, which was a difficult experience for him. However, his love for his culture, family, music, and faith motivated him to pursue his passion for art. In 2018, he released his debut project named EMP (Emotion Makes Peace).
"I hold EMP very close to my heart. Growing up, I found it difficult to express my emotions properly. However, EMP serves as a reminder to me that it's perfectly okay to feel and to go through different emotions. I strongly believe that after experiencing feelings such as anger, heartbreak, and sadness, there's a sense of peace waiting for us. So, it's alright to cry, to scream, to be in love, and to fall out of love. We should experience everything and find peace within it all. That's what EMP means to me."
