Justin Karp

Justin Karp is a singer, songwriter, and guitarist blending pop punk, pop rock, and alternative rock into songs that resonate deeply with listeners on an emotional level. Influenced by bands like Simple Plan, Story of the Year, Hoobastank, Nine Days, the Goo Goo Dolls, Midtown and Blink 182, he has created a sound that combines these influences into his own unique style.

Born and raised in Plainview, New York, a small town on Long Island, Justin grew up surrounded by music. You could say, music was in his blood. His mother and grandmother, both piano teachers, introduced him to music early in life. His stepfather, a lawyer by trade, would unwind at night by playing blues-style guitar solos. Justin was inspired heavily by his family. He also remembers listening to Green Day and hearing the distorted rock guitar sounds, which inspired him to ask for a guitar for his thirteenth birthday. When Justin isn't in the studio or performing, he works full time as a foot and ankle podiatric surgeon.

Justin Karp released his first song, "Last Chance," while studying for his medical licensing board exams. Last Chance is a story about enjoying your moment with a significant other, while knowing it isn't going to work out. Justin is working on bringing a lot of new music to you in 2025!
