Justin Kenneth Ready is an American musician and artist currently finding his creative haven in New Orleans, Louisiana. Defined by raw emotional depth and authentic intensity, his music draws from a wide range of influences, weaving lyrical explorations that deeply connect with the shared human spirit.
Born in Onondaga, NY, and raised by his grandparents in in the small-town stillness of Hebron, Nebraska, Ready's journey has been anything but ordinary and his path has been a journey of earnest reinvention. As a teenager, he moved to Austin, TX, honing his craft as a songwriter, before relocating to Qualicum Beach, British Columbia, to study the art of guitar building—a testament to his hands-on approach to his craft.
Ready later fronted the acclaimed Portland indie band "Pigeons" from 2008 to 2014. During this tenure, the band released two acclaimed albums recorded at Miracle Lake Studios w/ Skylar Norwood (Team Evil), Blue Room Studios w/ Mike Coykendall (M Ward), and Revolver Studios w/ Colin Hegna (Brian Jonestown Massacre/Federale).
Ready later returned to Nebraska, where he planted the seeds for his solo career in Omaha, and began performing with versatile backing band, The Echo Prairie.
Since 2016, Ready has been a fixture in the New Orleans music scene, enthralling audiences with straight from the heart authenticity . Whether on stage or in the studio, Ready’s dedication to storytelling and sonic exploration positions him as a rising voice in modern Americana.
