From singing along to the radio, to performing in school talent shows, a love for music was apparent from an early age. As a teenager, Shanholtzer began writing songs, and soon after, would begin learning guitar. Never one for stage fright, he began to play local bars in and around his hometown of Sulphur, Oklahoma. Before long, Shanholtzer was playing venues all over Oklahoma and Texas. In June of 2019, he released his debut single "Where I Need to Be" which was recorded at Mike McClure's Boohatch Studio and also featured McClure on the track singing harmony vocals. His follow up single, title "Take a Drive" was released in February of 2020. Shanholtzer is currently working on his debut EP titled "18 Wheels". The EP's lead single "Lighthouse" is a song about his wife, Rachel, and how growing up, her dream was to leave small town Oklahoma and live in a Lighthouse somewhere on the East Coast. "Lighthouse" is available everywhere January 29, 2021.
