WINDHOEK, NAMIBIA - Producer, song writer and artist Jyda King announced his debut album today the 23rd October 2020 under the record label DCORE RECORDS. deep, intimate and unapologetic, “Imagine” is an album that speaks to the soul comprising of a variety of genres ranging from afro pop, trapsoul, to R n B and hip hop.
Jyda king’s passion for music started at an early age. The support from his mother encouraged him to write his own music at the age of 16 and by the age of 22, he was producing his own Beats. Jyda King released the Single Friends With Benefits Remix Feat Berthold & Chez in October 2009, and the not so popular mixtape EXTRAORDINARY in 2011.
In 2014, Jyda King started his own label MASSIVE MUSIC RECORDS, producing for multiple artist. In 2020 he joined forces with the label D-CORE RECORDS, a label owned by Silver Dorrey.
Imagine has……tracks that Jyda King produced in 4 months while drawing inspiration from the likes of Lil Wayne, Drake, Kanye West to Brenda Fassie. Since his last not so popular mixtape “Extraordinary” in 2011, his deep soul searching taste in music remains present yet enhanced, “this album features various artists who bring different styles and genres to play. The songs are inspired by real life events that transpired in my life and how I overcame them to become the person I am today”, says Jyda King.
And while each song varies in style, they are original pieces and they all come down to one universal theme.
