Jynks

<a href="spotify:artist:75Z9qbSRGX4agEA3dc05K9" data-name="Jynks">Jynks</a> is an industrial/electronic band formed in Cincinnati, Ohio and currently housed in Washington DC. The band began with the release of the <a href="spotify:album:64aI09HYZZA1y9WOLv8Y3T" data-name="Prototype-0 - EP">Prototype-0 - EP</a> which contained one of the first songs ever written by the group, the Parkland shooting inspired <a href="spotify:track:7tlEcPNCk4alcywvCcEMEx" data-name="Thoughts &amp; Prayers">Thoughts &amp; Prayers</a>. This awoke the seething, bitter, and haunting perspective driving <a href="spotify:artist:75Z9qbSRGX4agEA3dc05K9" data-name="Jynks">Jynks</a>.


Following the EP, the band began a series of live shows and studio experimentation to concoct their first official record <a href="spotify:album:3dFHANtarfikCndRLK4mrl" data-name="{Industrialized}">{Industrialized}</a> which doubles down on brutal displays of distortion, throat-slicing screams, buzzing machinery, and metallic theatrics. It contains tracks such as the groovy and sinister <a href="spotify:track:4Czjqn6ELHdiHPgVkwsv9j" data-name="Anti-Viral">Anti-Viral</a>, the bombastic live thriller <a href="spotify:track:6gIKeDhFS8WRumB3gV7WUV" data-name="Metaphysical Pentecost">Metaphysical Pentecost</a>, and the scathingly violent <a href="spotify:track:2scroTHrQK1J3znPjPOtCW" data-name="||~daemon~||">||~daemon~||</a>.


Releasing concurrently was an instrumental album <a href="spotify:album:1yKIInc2kggPrqBhBn89To" data-name="High Points on a Flat Line">High Points on a Flat Line</a>, formed during the studio sessions of <a href="spotify:album:3dFHANtarfikCndRLK4mrl" data-name="{Industrialized}">{Industrialized}</a>. The ambient-inspired record uses soothing melodic passages and atmospheric production to look within rather than lashing out to the world. It contains tracks such as the enchanting but heart wrenching <a href="spotify:track:3xMFYePdAS25QDwZ2NQClw" data-name="Vignette">Vignette</a>, the hypnotic and heavenly <a href="spotify:album:7iRFBnxqHeB87BuEz0Yu6N" data-name="Smoke Signals">Smoke Signals</a>, and a meditation on the development/aftermath of relationships <a href="spotify:track:4oOli8N9tGKZsKUn7uMWi3" data-name="Failure / With Life Ahead">Failure / With Life Ahead</a>.
