K C Q is a London rapper crafting woozy, late-night hip-hop from warped records, blurred vocals, hazy textures and thunderous drums. Emerging at the crossroads of UK rap, trip-hop and dream-pop, she first appeared as the featured artist on "The Jamie Situation" by Los Angeles shoegaze outfit THE LOUD BANGS.
In 2024, K C Q released her debut EP, Broken Stays Broken, on Black Astronaut UK, swiftly followed by the tougher, more confrontational Former Teen Model. Her music pairs sharply observed lyrics with atmospheric production, creating songs that feel equally at home on rain-soaked city streets and after-hours headphone sessions.
Summer 2026 sees the release of her most ambitious project to date, London Deprivation Experiment, issued by Royal Pudding Records. Expanding her sound into darker, more cinematic territory, the record further establishes K C Q as one of London's most distinctive underground voices, all elegantly produced with all analog gear by Darren Callahan (The Loud Bangs, Travel, etc.).
