Intro: Whether my music is amazing or trash I guarantee that you will get the most unique sound that you have ever heard. I’m a alt artist/skater that doesn’t let genres define what content I create. Dreich Sub Culture: Dreich is a Scottish word used to describe weather as either dark or depressing; however, I will be using this word to describe the sub culture. Dreich music is music from any genre with a dark sound along with despondent lyrics. With that being said your simple heartbreak song will not be considered a Dreich song due to the fact that the majority of them are about surface level issues. In order for the lyrics to be Dreich the artist must talk about deep topics like drug addiction, trauma, etc. However, there are a few exceptions. For example, if the song is in a foreign language and it sounds like the artist poured their soul into the track then that song will be considered Dreich. The same rules apply for song that are in your native language as well. It is important to know that Dreich style is optional. In order to dress Dreich you must wear black clothing that represents who you are. Last but not least you must believe in equality in order to be considered Dreich. Supporting lgbt+, blm, etc as well as enjoying the music is a mandatory in order for someone to become Dreich.
