$K (pronounced “SK”) is a recording artist, multi-talented songwriter and producer. Raised in South Central, Los Angeles, $K grew up with a loyalty to MOM that inspired the title of his debut album, “Mama’s Boy”. Music has always been a driving factor in $K’s life and it began as a child in a house with an eclectic and extensive vinyl collection.
Studying greats like Marvin Gaye, Michael Jackson, $K bleeds R&B into the Hip Hop genre with an ability to transcend time through music. Through storytelling, $K evokes an emotion that makes his tracks all the more relatable.
Coming off a hot collaboration with XXYYXX, “I Don’t” hit 1 million streams on Spotify. The success of “I Don’t” sets the tone for $K’s 8 track debut album, “Mama’s Boy”. “Mama’s Boy” takes you on a journey through the phases of true heartbreak, from devastation and confusion to clarity and forgiveness.
