Kajos

Kajos is a powerful Finnish contemporary folk music duo consisting of, singer-composer Sini Koskelainen (known for the multi-award winning a cappella group Tuuletar) and multi-talented cellist Susanna Syrjäläinen.

Their music is inspired by Finnish-Karelian mythology, Nordic spell music tradition and cinematic soundscapes. Rooted rhythms, primal and sensuous melodies and strong emotions will take you somewhere beyond time.

Sini Koskelainen is a vocalist-composer specialized in rooted and atmospheric a cappella music. Her compositions 'Alku' and 'Elda' have been sold to the productions of the TV series Monarca (Netflix, Mexico, 2019), Game of Thrones (HBO, USA, 2017) and Wentworth (Netflix, AUS, 2017). Koskelainen has performed in 30 different countries.

Syrjäläinen is a cellist, orchestral musician and theatre musician. Syrjäläinen has performed live with Finland's most notable pop artists such as, Juha Tapio and Iisa. Composition credits: The Lied series 'Kevätuutinen' placed 2nd in The Finnish Nature Association’s category of the L.I.E.D. composition competition (2024) and 'Mökki' shared 1st place in the national LAULELMA2020 competition.
