Kajsa Lindgren (b. 1990) is a Swedish composer, sound-artist and sound designer mainly working with field recordings and different ways to approach and perform them (through spatial, multichannel distribution as well as within more traditional formats). Her work includes electroacoustic compositions and sound installations, as well as compositions for acoustic traditional instruments.
By using interviews and other researching methods while composing and field recordings as the material, she has found a way to work with expectations and traditions when it comes to the process of composing. Combining interviews and field recordings or instruments has therefore shown to be an effective way for her to open up different ways to approach the process of exploring subjects and environments through sound.
The Swedish composer recently joined Warm Winters Ltd. with her latest album (Everyone Is Here, 2019) after recent releases with Hyperdelia (WOMB, 2018) and Longform Editions (Undercurrents, 2019).
