Kakerlakk is an alternative rock band, based on S. Miguel island, in the Azores, that started in 2000 as a one-man band. All the songs are written by Carlos Matos and the band's debut album 'Overdue' was released on December 9 2023, recorded by Stepan Kobyakin - who also contributes on keyboards - at his StepKeys Studio. The experienced and trustworthy André Gouveia is on bass.

On December 15, 2023 Kakerlakk played for the first time on TV, on a Christmas special broadcast by RTP-Açores, where they performed 'Another Fool' and 'No Show'. The lineup was Carlos Matos on guitar and vocals, Álvaro Matos [Carlos's son, who replaced André Gouveia] on bass, Stepan Kobyakin on keyboards, António Couto on guitar and João Bettencourt on drums.
