Born in Milan to a Greek mother and an Italian father, kalika shows love for music from a very early age. She enrolls in the first Milanese school of modern music which she attends with passion.
In 1995 she performs as a contestant on the stage of the "Sanremo Festival", with a song by Massimo Riva e Davide Civaschi and the following year with a song by Mike Francis.
She then releases “Mara”, a 6-track EP produced by Claudio Dentes, where she revisits some of the hits of the great Milton Nascimento, guest of honor in "Bailes da vida” and “Maria Maria”. Frank Musker, Mitchel Forman, Eric Marienthal and Faso, among others, contribute to the project realization.
In the summer of 1996 she tours with Italian singer-songwriter Ron and later that year decides to go on hiatus.
In 2002 she meets Daniele Comoglio, with whom an intense period of musical writing begins, which gives birth, in 2012 to “Senza rumore”, a 10-track album, delivering all original songs with an intimate atmosphere, crowned by the popular “Ae fond kiss” by Robert Burns, adapted in Italian in “Un bacio senza tempo”, a song that kalika dedicates to her father.
In 2005 kalika approaches the world of meditation, taking part in the years that follow, to numerous workshops, seminars and awareness retreats, receiving the name of spiritual seeker, Kalika Anand, Bud of Bliss. This path of returning to true nature will be of fundamental inspiration for the writing of the words of the entire album.
