Kalle Leander

Kalle Leander is a multifaceted singer who masters genres ranging from opera via musical theater to crossover. His performances span stages from the Royal Swedish Opera to Swedish Television's Melodifestivalen (Eurovision).

After a nine-year opera education at institutions including the Opera Academy in Stockholm, he spent several years as a classical opera singer at opera and concert houses before his career took a broader direction. In 2017, he founded an innovative performing arts company in Gothenburg.

2017 also marked the beginning of the adventure with the commercial British-Swedish tenor group Tenori, which after several years of touring and radio and TV appearances crowned their success with participation in Melodifestivalen 2022 and signed a record deal with Universal Music.

Leander has been artistic director for amongst others the musical “Chess” and the world’s first musical about the Vasa ship, performed for the Swedish King and Queen.

As an actor, he has appeared in genres as diverse as the farce "A Bedfull of Foreigners" and the classical drama "Doktor Glas." In concert settings, he has performed in venues including Stockholm City Hall's Blue Hall, the Royal Opera's Golden Foyer, as well as before Their Majesties the King and Queen at the Royal Palace and on concert stages throughout Europe.

He has been repeatedly heard on radio in Sweden and Scandinavia and has also been played on New York's leading radio station for classical music.
