Kalpee is a rising artist from Trinidad & Tobago & part of a new generation of Caribbean musicians pushing a fresh tropical sound aptly named “New Calypso”. His vibrant fusion of genres incorporates his Trinbagonian heritage, blending calypso, dancehall, and Afrobeats to craft infectious rhythms and soulful melodies. He's earned acclaim from Radio1, BBC 1Xtra, and Capital Xtra, as well as Wonderland and Notion Magazine.
His past hits include collaborations with SteffLon Don and Mortimer, reaching No. 4 on the UK MW Black Chart with his single “Island Gyal” performing at the F1 Singapore Grand Prix in 2023 and more recently SXSW London 2025.
As founder of Island Wave, he champions Caribbean music worldwide while raising mental health awareness. With new singles dropping this summer ahead of his 2026 album, Kalpee’s vibrant artistry continues to position him as one to watch.
