Kanayo King aka 2K, is an American artist, songwriter and producer from Atlanta, GA. His parents who are Nigerian moved from Nigeria to Atlanta where he was born at Grady Hospital. As a child Kanayo was making music and started making beats and recording songs by the age of 13. Kanayo’s parents strongly preferred and advised he stuck to his education, in which Kanayo found himself sneaking out of the house to perform shows and openers at universities such as Georgia State Univ and Georgia Tech Univ. Kanayo began shaping his music style, in his 8th grade year in middle school. As a kid he always had an eye for fashion, and would make music according to what he was wearing that day. Has he got older, his first offical single “Tonight” charted at # 13 with DJbooth. As for concerts and festivals Kanayo has been invited to perform at events with T-Pain, Hopsin, Yelawolf, Mod Sun, Ludacris, Futuristic, B.o.B, & T.I.. He has taken the stage at the JCI music festival along with shows at Georgia Tech Univ.
