Born and raised in Toronto, Canada, recording artist Kandy K , who is formally known as Kaitlin Jardine, is set to make her mark as one of Canada’s biggest music exports. Her star quality has been in the ascendant since discovering, during a middle school music project, which demonstrated her singing voice and natural flair for writing song lyrics. After a good friend/local Toronto rapper encouraged her to also start rapping, Kandy decided to put her innate entrepreneurial drive, talent, intellect – she has a bachelor’s degree in Sociology - and a deep passion for music to work, selling her own mixtapes and graffiti-inspired clothing out of the trunk of her car, as she pursued a career in the industry. Gaining a name for herself in Toronto by performing at local clubs and festivals, as well as reaching a worldwide audience through her savvy use of social media, Kandy caught the attention of several established Rappers after seeing her freestyles and music videos on Instagram. Touring the world from 2014 up until 2016, Kandy not only performed to global audiences, but also gained valuable experience which she is now using to propel her career to new heights, as she continues to perfect her craft.
